the A&F experience

Went shopping at the newly opened Abercrombie and Fitch at Knightsbridge.
My first experience with A&F apparel is at Genting FOS. Got a sleeveless muscle tee which quite flatter my bod. lol.

The flagship store in Singapore is quite an eye opener with the pre-opening marketing hype which saw 40 ripped, chiseled models with abs of steel surrounding the store.

When you first step into the store, one get greeted by the A&F dudes and one half naked model for that polariod moment in case you miss out on the pre-open highlight. Honestly, they should try to rotate the gender of the model, get a hot babe with chiseled features (duh!) coupled with a deep cleavage. That will seriously dispel any association that this label is about gay pride. lol.

The dim lighting make it difficult for one to see the actual clothes that you are trying or even thinking of buying which is probably one of their marketing tactics to impair your judgement and make everything looks nice. This is kinda like when you go clubbing, all the girls look so hot in those dim lighting, but just wait till you wake up to the same hot girl the next morning. You will be surprised!

The shop has a trademark scent which reminded me of ION Orchard. Their range of perfume do not come cheap.

Seriously I think that one of the way USA can get out of their deficit situation is through Abercrombie. Through their astute marketing strategy, they can sell their Ivy league style of fashion at a premium price to the Asian peeps who always perceived all 'Ang Mo style' are more fashionable and more atas.

I do agreed to some extend that the Americans are innovative and creative which is something I would like to emulate down the road.

Btw I got moi a Nakamichi My Mini speaker. Will try to do a review on it after I test it out with my Mini X speakers.
